Masoud Jamei was born in AHVAZ (Map), the capital city of KHOZESATAN the oil richest province in the south west of IRAN. He finished high school in 1983 and received his BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering and Control Engineering from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, in the north of IRAN, in 1988 and 1991 respectively. He has been a lecturer at the Shahid Chamran University of AHVAZ, IRAN from 1992 to 1997. Then, he studied towards his PhD in Control Engineering at the University of Sheffield and received his degree in 2002.
His wife's name is Azadeh and they have got two mature children Mohammad Javad who loves math and computer games and Reihaneh, a beautiful girl who is very good at swimming.
